*Born Guitar builds that are not customer directed cannot be custom fitted, but we do offer a Born Retrofit, which allows you to mod your Born Guitar so that it’s best suited for your playing style. The Born Retrofit gives you the ability to change out pickups, adjust and/or replace the bridge, mod the electronics, and have your guitar setup to your preferred string action and gauge. All modifications are done at the Born Custom Shop. Some restrictions apply. Please inquire if you are interested in a Born Retrofit and would like more information, including pricing and details. Contact Us at: info@bornguitars.com
**Born FlowTM Neck Joint & Vice LockTM Sustain System is a Born Custom Guitars, LLC proprietary design, process and finished design that fully integrates the guitar neck into the body of the guitar so that the two parts become one, both structurally and functionally (feel and playability). Our process of hand fitting the neck allows for a seamless, press-fit joint that is then locked into place with 4 anchored machine bolts. This allows for seamless resonance and a contoured feel all the way up the neck to the last fret.
***The Born Signature Fret Dressing and Bound Fretboard are the result of Born Guitar’s intensive and detailed fretboard design and fret dressing process. This process is highly labor intensive and requires a keen attention to detail, but the end result is a fretboard that plays lightning fast and feels soft and fit perfectly to your hands.

To be frank, we are probably more particular than you are. W e work with you to confirm every detail of your guitar, and we are obsessed with getting it right. After all, we want you to be ecstatic about your new guitar.  When it comes to necks we measure the shape and size down to 0.001" (One - One Thousandth of an inch) or 0.025mm (25 Thousands of a millimeter).

Essentially we obsess over the details, and we never cut corners.  When we are shaping your neck we are thinking about what you prefer and your playing style.  All we care about when we build your guitar is you.

Finally, if for some reason you don't like your neck, then we can make adjustments or even make a new neck for your guitar. How often do we have to do that? Well, so far never. We've been in business for over 10 years, and we've never had a request to adjust the neck shape (feel) or swap out a neck for a customer.

How's that possible? We believe the neck is the most important part of the guitar, and we go far beyond almost any builder in the world when it comes to the feel of your neck and fretboard. So every time you play a Born Guitar® Neck, you're playing the best guitar neck in the world.

As for tone - we play it before we ship it to you, and we make adjustments if to make it sound and play its best.  We can even send you an audio sample. Worst case scenario is we make some adjustments or even swap the pickups out for something you like better. We want you to be happy - that's it.

We've only had a couple guitars ever come back to the shop.  Twice for electronics modifications, and once because an oil finish needed to be touched up.

Contact Us, Call or email us immediately if you are not 100% satisfied with your guitar. We will do everything in our power to remedy the situation. If something is our fault, then we will fix the problem at no cost to you. Yes. We can do all maintenance and repairs on Born guitars, but we do not perform maintenance or repairs on other guitar brands.  Manufacturer’s defects will be repaired for free subject to our Limited Lifetime Warranty.  For guitars that are outside of their warranty period and/or are in need of standard maintenance or repair, we will gladly perform the necessary work for a nominal fee. To avoid paying large shipping costs we recommend finding a quality guitar technician in your area.  Any damage done by someone other than a qualified Born luthier or technician will void our Limited Lifetime Warranty.
